KILLEEN — A Mass of Christian Burial for Bruce E. Jones, 70, of Harker Heights will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Devine with full military honors.

Mr. Jones died Saturday, Sept. 6, in Harker Heights.

He was born March 16, 1938, in Morrisville, Vt. He was raised and educated in Vermont. He retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service. He worked for AAFES on Fort Hood for 5 years. He later opened and operated DeeDee’s Lounge. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen and of the Knights of Columbus Council 4724, where he served as the Grand Knight, 2000-2003.

Survivors include a brother, Gregory Magoon of Franklin, N.H.; and three sisters, Patricia Lauzon of Cazenovia, N.Y., Lois Bohl of San Antonio and Linda Benn of Ontario, Canada.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
