News Freedom Walk Former Airborne Ranger Mario Martinez, left, and 26-year Army veteran Dr. Don Kasperik lead a group of walkers Thursday past the Avenue of Flags at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center in Temple. Kasperik is deputy chief of staff at the Veterans’ Center. The “America Supports You” Freedom Walk was in remembrance of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
