KILLEEN — Memorial services for Juanita “Nita” Isabell Covington England, 86, of Killeen will be 11 a.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

Private family burial was held in Killeen Memorial Park.

Mrs. England died Thursday, Sept. 11.

She was born Jan. 8, 1922, to Charles David and Mary Elizabeth Covington on their ranch in Rock Springs. She graduated as valedictorian of Brackettville High School. She also graduated from Draughon Business School in San Antonio. She married Rolin England on April 27, 1940. She retired as a vice president of First National Bank after 27 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a founding member of the American Business Women Association (ABWA) and was named “Woman of the Year” of that organization. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia “Pat” Jean Atkins and Barbara Gail Tuthill; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
