Earnestyne E. Robinson

Services for Earnestyne Eugenia Robinson, 77, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Chester Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Ms. Robinson died Thursday, Sept. 11, in a Temple hospital.

She was born April 2, 1931, to Will Abner and Mary Lee Robinson in Bell County. She attended school in Heidenheimer and graduated from Dunbar High School in Temple. In 1951, she attended Prairie View A&M College as a nursing major. She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She served as pianist at various churches in and around Bell County. She was employed at Fort Hood for 10 years. She retired after 41 years of service with the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Center in Temple working as a dietician with a promotion in nursing.

Survivors include twin daughters, Mary Katherine “Kitty” Robinson of Temple and Maria Kathleen “Kathy” Jackson of Arlington, Va.; two brothers, John Robinson Sr. of Dallas and Jimmie Ray Robinson of Temple; four sisters, Louise Burleson of Houston, Bernice Littlejohn of Temple, Frankie Plair of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Winnie Faye Fletcher of Belton; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Will and Mary Robinson 2009 Family Reunion, c/o Ms. Mary K. Robinson, 6929 Valley Mist Drive, Temple, 76502.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Family time will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
