LAMPASAS — Services for Thomas Howard Brackett, 73, of Rising Fawn, Ga., formerly of Lampasas will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Ron Hendrix officiating.

Burial will follow in Kempner Cemetery.

Mr. Brackett died Tuesday, Sept. 16, in a hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.

He was born June 9, 1935, to Charles Ben Brackett and Martha Gaddis Brackett in Chattanooga. He served in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Spec 6 from Fort Hood in 1974. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas H. Brackett Jr. and Richard Marlin Brackett.

Survivors include a son, Michael Brackett of Kempner; a stepson, Kenneth Brown of Copperas Cove; two stepdaughters, Shirley Hendrix of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Pam Haynie of Lampasas; a sister, Margie Lyle of Fort Oglethorp, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
