KILLEEN — Private graveside services for Mary Lorene Smith, 70, of Killeen will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Arkansas.

Mrs. Smith died Friday, Sept. 19, in a Harker Heights nursing home.

She was born July 2, 1938, to Edward and Nellie Marie Crandal Payne in Burlington, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Smith of Killeen; a daughter, Cheryl A. Smith of Austin; a brother, Dewayne Payne of Arkansas; and two sisters, Naomi Wileman of Illinois and Barbara Moore of Arkansas.
