ROSEBUD — Services for Weldon “Bunce” Walston, 88, of Rosebud will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with the Rev. Joe Bailey, the Rev. Duane Brooks, and the Rev. Henry Lee Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

Mr. Walston died Sunday, Sept. 21, in Rosebud.

He was born May 20, 1920, in Ledbetter to Thomas and Sarah Watson Walston. He lived in the Rosebud area most of his life. He married Edna Mae Jordan on Sept. 22, 1945, and she preceded him in death Sept. 18, 2000. He was a farmer and rancher and had worked for the Cameron and Marlin Livestock auctions. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was deacon emeritus.

Survivors include four nieces, Barbara Schiller of Temple, Mary Ann Mitchell, Linda Thrasher, both of Rosebud, and Nancy Puente of Rockdale.

Memorials may be made to Powers Chapel Cemetery Association or to VistaCare Hospice.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
