COPPERAS COVE — Services for Adois “Frog” Speer, 63, of Kempner will be 10 a.m. Friday at Clear Creek Baptist Church in Kempner with the Rev. Thomas Edwards officiating.

Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Kempner.

Mr. Speer died Tuesday, Sept. 23, in a Killeen hospital.

He was born Jan. 18, 1945, to Therman Otos Speer and Vada Jane Carroll Speer in Lampasas.

He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1963. On Nov. 26, 1966, he married Kay Mickan. He was a Quality Control Inspector on Fort Hood for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years of Kempner; a son, Lance Speer of Killeen; a daughter, Bandy Swenson of Harker Heights; a sister, Derlice Hughes of Kempner; a grandson; and two step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, c/o the New Building Fund, 518 East Highway 190, Copperas Cove, Texas 76522 or to the American Cancer Society, 2433 Ridgepoint Drive, Suite B, Austin.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
