BARTLETT — Services for Cecil Fowler Montgomery, 87, of Bartlett will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Bartlett with the Rev. Leanne Turner officiating.
Burial will follow in Bartlett City Cemetery.
Mr. Montgomery died Wednesday, Sept. 24, in a Bartlett nursing home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1921, to Walter Lee and Mary Ola Speegle Montgomery in Bartlett and was a long-time resident there. He worked as an instrument technician for Mobil Oil Company for more than 32 years. He married Minnie Calhoun on Aug. 20, 1946. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, a Life member of the 36th Infantry Association and the Bartlett Activity Center (BAC). He was preceded in death by his wife.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Montgomery of Richland; a daughter: Mary Schoemaker of San Antonio; a brother, Walter D. Montgomery of Dallas; and two grandchildren
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Bartlett.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett.
