COPPERAS COVE — Services for Robert Krempin, 86, of Topsey in Coryell County will be 2 p.m. Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove with the Rev. Mike Kerzee officiating.
Burial will follow in Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
Mr. Krempin died Thursday, Sept. 25, in a local nursing home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1922, to Ewald and Jennie Johnson Krempin in Topsey and attended school there. He married Lorene Bradley on Aug. 9, 1947. During World War II, he served in the 38th Infantry Division in the South Pacific. His decorations include the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon with one Bronze Star; the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star; the Good Conduct Medal Victory Ribbon; and one Overseas Service Bar. He was a farmer and rancher. He also worked in Civil Service at Fort Hood retiring 1979. He was a life-long resident of Topsey. He was a member of Topsey Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years in February of 1988.
Survivors include a son, Roy Krempin of Topsey; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made to Pidcoke Methodist Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
