Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mrs. Shelander died Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Tyler.
She was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Milam County to Charlie H. and Roxie Ann Springer Rogers. She had lived in Rockdale since 1984, and previously had lived in Black Jack. She was a doctor’s assistant with Dr. O’Neal. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Minerva.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carlton Doss on Feb. 2, 1966, and Jesse J. Shelander on Dec. 8, 1995; and by a grandson.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Doss of Rockdale; two daughters, Millie Caywood of Rockdale and Lottie Summers of Whitehouse; a sister, Doris Crim of Forest Grove; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
