Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron with the Rev. Walter Matus officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Monica Cemetery.
Mrs. Matula was born Oct. 31, 1919, to Frank and Frances Loberger Richter in Cameron. She married L.J. Matula on June 3, 1941. She was a life-long resident of Cameron. She worked as a nurse at St. Edward Hospital in Cameron. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, of St. Monica’s Ladies Society and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, and a son, L.J. Matula Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Barrett of Cameron; a sister, Dorothy McLaughlin of The Woodlands; a grandson; and a great-grandchild.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
