Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mr. McKnight died Tuesday, Oct. 7, in a Temple hospital.
He was born June 12, 1912, to Edward Eugene and Ollie May Payne McKnight in Cleburne. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired after 27 years of working for the Olin E. Teague VA Hospital. He was a member of the Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Temple and of the King Solomon Masonic Lodge No. 1427 in Temple.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Young of Temple; two stepsons, Doug Grimes of Spring Branch and Don Grimes of Homer, La.; a sister, Ruth McMullen of Pearland; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
