Burial will follow in Davilla Cemetery.
Mr. Mayse died Wednesday, Oct. 8, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1936, to Willie Arthur and Ruth Bowser Mayse in Davilla. He served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, Va. He was a factory worker in the Temple area, working for American Desk, Rockwool, WilsonArt and McLane. He married Georgia Lou Turner. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Turner.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Gregory Turner, Eloise Binder, Tammie Willis, and Tavata Jackson; three brothers, Billy Mayse and Thomas Mayse, both of Temple, and Ronald Mayse of Lancaster, Calif.; a sister, Arnetta White of Killeen; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple; with family hour 6-7 p.m.
