Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with chaplain Albert Lopez officiating.
Burial will follow in Killeen City Cemetery.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1939, to Willie M. and Annie Mae Cooper in Bell County near Temple. She was a graduate of Killeen High School. She married Kenneth “Ken” Murray in 1965. She was a long-time employee of the Killeen Daily Herald, retiring in May 1999. She was active in the Heart of Texas Chapter of the American BusinessWomen’s Association. Survivors include her husband of 42 years of Killeen; three sons, James “Jimmy” Barker and Kenneth Murray Jr., both of North Carolina, and Richard Murray of Temple; four daughters, Gayle L. Murray of Killeen, Dorthea “Dottie Ann” Harris of North Carolina, Beverly Gunnells of South Carolina and Donna Cox of Fort Worth; two sisters, Grace Garcia of Burnet and Sylvia “Skeeter” Walker, both of Killeen; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
