Burial will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Friday, Oct. 10, in a local nursing home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1925, to Henry Clarence Spence and Carrie Kyle Spence in Forest Grove. She married Elbert Brown on Sept. 21, 1946, in Georgetown. She was a registered nurse at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale, retiring after 47 years of service. She was a life-long resident of Rockdale and a member of Forest Grove Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years of Rockdale; a son, Bert Brown of San Antonio; three brothers, Kyle Spence of Giddings, and Claude Spence and Rodney Spence, both of Rockdale; a sister, Roxy Ann Bingham of Austin; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Forest Grove Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
