Burial will be in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Floyd died Sunday, Oct. 12, at a local nursing home.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1926, in Coryell County to James Preston and Effie Chambers Fleming. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during World War II. He married Charlie Bauman in 1955 and they resided in Gatesville all their married lives. After he returned from his military service, he went to work for Troy Lee Hunt at Gatesville Commission Company, working as their bookkeeper for 40 years. He was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church and served as church treasurer for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 5, 2006.
Survivors include a sister, Florene Dorsey of Gatesville.
