Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney.
Mr. Connolly died Monday, Oct. 20, at his home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1941, in Grand Junction, Colo., to John Coleman and Katherine Mary Hawk Connolly. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Esther E. Connolly of Copperas Cove; a stepson, Narbel Arroyo of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; his parents of Dallas; two sisters, Betty Kay Willis of Grandview, Kathy Louise Vance of Anna; two brothers, James D. Connolly of Plano, Michael David Connolly of Nacogdoches; and one stepgrandchild.
Memorials may be made to the John Connolly Memorial Fund, c/o Robertson Avenue Baptist Church, 305 E. Robertson Ave., Copperas Cove, 76522.
Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
