Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Turner died Tuesday, Oct. 21, in a Richardson hospital.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1934, to Ralph Edward Turner and Hester Pruitt Turner in Hood County. He married Willie East on Dec. 23, 1956, in Stephenville. He served in the U.S. Army, 1957-1959. He was employed as a custodian. He was a Temple resident for 15 years. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Temple. He was preceded in death by a son, Jasper Owen Turner on May 31, 1975.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years of Temple; two sons, Jason W. Turner of Temple and Justin P. Turner of Plano; a daughter, Juanita Stovall of Abilene; a brother, Ralph E. Turner Jr. of Hico; a sister, Charlotte Lively of Clifton; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
