Billy E. Peck

CAMERON — Memorial services for Billy Eugene “Bill” Peck, 82, of Cameron will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Cameron.

Mr. Peck died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1926, to Earl Isaac and Evelyn Ione Eddins Peck in Cameron. He graduated in 1943 from Cameron Yoe High School. He married Melissa Raenell Anastasiades on Dec. 4, 1980. He graduated from the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps School on June 1, 1945. He was honorably discharged on July 10, 1954. He was a member of the American Legion Post 9 in Cameron. He worked for the U.S. Post Office receiving numerous accreditations. He also worked for the movie theater in Cameron for more than 20 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron, where he served as a Deacon and an Elder for many years. He is preceded in death by his son, Mike Peck in 2005.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years of Cameron; two daughters, Melissa Boyer of Cameron and Kimberly Benson of Bonaire, Ga.; a sister, Lois P. Gray of Cameron; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cameron or to the Mike Peck Cameron I.S.D. Scholarship Foundation.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
