Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.
Mr. Cameron died Tuesday, Oct. 21, at his home.
He was born April 17, 1964, to James Sr. and Susan Stillwell Cameron in Slidell, La. He was a decorated soldier in the U.S. Army. Among his many awards and medals include 3 Bronze Stars. He participated with the Boy Scouts of America, Pack 100.
Survivors include his wife, Noreen Cameron of Kempner; two sons, Thomas J. Cameron of North Carolina and Dustin Cameron of Kempner; and three daughters, Linda K. Stainbeck of Texarkana, Kelly Cameron and Sharon D. Cameron, both of Copperas Cove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made on behalf of James R. Cameron Jr. to the Boy Scouts, Pack 100, Three Perkins Street, Lampasas, Texas 76550.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
