Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.
Mrs. Pickett died Thursday, Oct. 23, in a Temple nursing home.
She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Mullin. She grew up and attended school in Mullin. She married Eugene Vaughn Pickett on Sept. 27, 1939, in Eden. She lived in Hondo and Brady before moving to Belton in 1958. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years in 1998.
Survivors include three sons, Vaughn Pickett of Belton, Lonnie Pickett of Corpus Christi and Jerry Pickett of Holland; a daughter, Freda Reagan of Temple; two brothers, Thomas Talley of California and Luther Talley of Ohio; a sister, Ethel Gossett of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Temple.
