Mrs. King died Monday, Oct. 27, in a Belton nursing home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1908, to Jacob and Rosa Kaser in Olney, Ill. She lived in Olney until 2001, moving to Casey, Ill., and then to Belton two years ago. She married Glenn L. King on June 28, 1930, in Lawrenceville, Ill. She worked as a clerk and bookkeeper, 1924 to 1974, in Olney for several businesses and the county treasurer and sheriff’s offices. She had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Olney since 1919, and the Elks Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 28, 1975.
Survivors include a son, Dick King of Temple; a sister, Kathryn Mullen of Casey, Ill.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
