Burial will follow in Gillum Cemetery in Oakalla.
Mrs. Cantwell died Thursday, Oct. 30, in a Temple hospital.
She was born Feb. 4, 1927, to Calvin Urphy Baize and Thelma Seller Baize in Tuxedo. She finished school in Gatesville and moved to Lampasas in 1954. She attended Jackson Business College and went on to teach there. She also worked at the radio station and in earlier years had been a telephone operator. She married Lendol O. Cantwell on Aug. 14, 1968, in Burnet County. She was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years on Aug. 13, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Jack Chapman of Lampasas; a daughter, Kathy Baxter of Lampasas; a stepson, Jimmy Pierce of Oakalla; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Broad Street Church of Christ or Gillum Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
