Burial will be in Townsen Cemetery near Adamsville.
Mr. Banta died Saturday, Nov. 1, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 3, 1943, in Baytown to Charles Wilson Banta Sr. and Mildred Ridenbaugh Banta. He was a supervisor for LCRA. He married Dottye Mason and she preceded him in death in May 2008. He was baptized into the Berean Christadelphian Church in 1960.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Taylor of Burnet and Charlotte Banta of Georgetown; a sister, Micky Lucas of Palestine; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
