Burial will be private with the Rev. Doug Springer officiating.
Mr. Roberts died Saturday, Nov. 1, at a Temple hospital.
He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Rockdale to Ed and Ivy Harris Roberts. He was an area supervisor in the pot lining department with ALCOA, retiring after 30 years. He married Betty Joyce Lands on Aug. 5, 1955, in Rockdale. He was a member of Rockdale Full Gospel Church, served on the church board, was a Sunday school teacher and drove driving the church bus.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Edmond Roberts Jr. of Rockdale; a daughter, Rebecca Parker of Rockdale; three sisters, Barbara Springer and Sue Spillers, both of Rockdale, and Rae Skeeters of Houston; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
