Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Talasek died Monday, Nov. 3, in a Temple hospital.
She was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Ratibor to John and Mary Maruna Jakubec. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. She married Jerry Talasek in 1937, and he preceded her in death in 1960. She was a life long member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Alter Society. She was an active member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 47 as well as a member of the K.J.T.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Proctor of Temple; a son, Jerry Talasek of Temple; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church School, 1019 South 7th, Temple, 76504.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. today at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating.
