Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Crawford.
Mr. Symank died Wednesday, Nov. 5, in a Waco hospital.
He was born Nov. 11, 1928, to John Symank and Malinda Richter Symank in Coryell City. He attended school in Coryell City. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War, 1951 to 1952. He married Dorothy Schmalriede on Nov. 11, 1953. He worked as a tuber mill operator for General Tire in Waco for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He then was self-employed as a roofer. He married Maureen Ray Jones on June 11, 1993, in McGregor. He was preceded in death by his first wife on Feb. 20, 1992.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Johnnie Symank of McGregor and Mark Symank of Temple; two daughters, Jan E. Wallace of Katy and Marla K. Holmes of Crawford; a brother, Alfred Symank of Cedar Park; a sister, Ida Massiere of Crawford; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.
