Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, Nov. 5, in a Round Rock hospital.
He was born May 1, 1929, to Caswell L. Johnson and Kathleen Long Johnson in Ethel, Miss. He was raised and educated in Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Army. He then moved to Texas and worked for a surveying company. He married Billie Louise Ikonen on Dec. 29, 1956, in Burnet County. He owned and operated a roofing business for many years. He had been a resident of Tow, since 1990.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years of Tow; a daughter, Nancy Faught of Lampasas; two step-sons, Wayne Ikonen of Lampasas and Stanley Ikonen of Bluemont, W.Va.; two brothers, Richard Johnson of Robert Lee and Mike Johnson of Ethel, Miss.; two sisters, Joann Burns of Robert Lee and Carolyn Davis of San Angelo; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Nix Community Center.
Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas is in charge of arrangements.
