T.C. Whatley

Services for T.C. “Muggs” Whatley, 75, of Rogers will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating.

Burial will be in Reeds Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Whatley died Tuesday, Nov. 11, at his home.

He was born Sept. 8, 1933, to Joseph “Jack” Whatley and Lola Hill Whatley in Leedale. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1952, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married June Pinkston on Dec. 30, 1957. He owned and operated the Sinclair (later named Arco) Service Station in Rogers for many years. He retired from the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Center in Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years in April 1995; and a son, Russell Carl Whatley in March 1963.

Survivors include a son, Buster Whatley of Rogers; a brother, Mack Whatley of Temple; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rogers.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
