Burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mr. Guzman died Wednesday, Nov. 12, in a Belton nursing home.
He was born July 16, 1928, to Nicholas and Refugio Guardiola Guzman in Pendleton. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He married Rebeca Santiago on Nov. 27, 1957, in Guadalajara, Mexico. He was a machine operator in the steel industry. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and had lived in Belton for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years of Belton; two sons, Estaban Guzman and Augustine Salvador Guzman, both of Belton; four daughters, Rosa Elizia Avina, Carmen Joenks and Esmeralda Garcia, all of Belton and Rebeca Trevizo of Denver; three brothers, Lorenzo Guzman and Nicholas Guzman, both of Rockdale and Pedro Guzman of Belton; three sisters, Juanita Barba of Pendleton, Manuela Solis of Temple and Mary Carpenter of McGregor; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton.
