Burial will be in Hines Chapel Cemetery in Lampasas County.
Mr. Moore died Monday, Nov. 17, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Lometa to James Edwin Moore Sr. and Martha Edna Ricks Moore. He married Patsy Morene Ballow on March 22, 1951, in Evant. He received an associate degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He had worked for U.S. Civil Service and Sprint. He also had served in the U.S. National Guard. He was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lampasas where he had been a lay reader and a youth group sponsor. He was also a former chairman of the Lampasas County Republican Party and former president of the Jaycees.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Blanche, and a grandson, Lewis.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carole Miller of Evant and Martha Moore of Adamsville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Lampasas or VistaCare Hospice in Temple.
Sneed Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
