Burial will be 1 p.m. in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
Mr. Lange died Saturday, Nov. 15, in a Harker Heights nursing center.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Seguin to Gustave and Meta Lange. He was reared and educated in Seguin. He was a charter member of the Harker Heights First United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years where he earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of VFW No. 3892 of Harker Heights, American Legion No. 223 of Killeen, and the Bell County Sportsman’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgette Lange.
Survivors include a daughter, Ingle Lester of Harker Heights; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of “Elbert A. Lange” to: Harker Heights First United Methodist Church, 208 W. Cardinal Lane, Harker Heights 76548.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
