The body will be cremated.
Mr. Benningfield died Monday, Nov. 17, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 22, 1960, in Brownwood to Billy Joe Benningfield and Jeannette Fisher Benningfield. He grew up in Goldthwaite and attended school there where he graduated high school. He then attended Tarleton University in Stephenville. He married Tina Phelps on Feb. 2, 1984, in Goldthwaite. He was an auto mechanic at the Ford dealer in Goldthwaite and later opened his own shop in Lometa in 1995.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kimberly Young of Indiana and Teffany Wagner of Stephenville; a son, Branden Benningfield of Lometa; a brother, Rick Benningfield of Denver City; his grandmother, Charlene Benningfield of Goldthwaite.
