Miguel A. Wilson

KILLEEN — Services for Sgt. 1st Class Miguel Antonio Wilson, 36, of Killeen will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with chaplain Dirksmeyer and the Rev. Bill Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.

Sgt. 1st Class Wilson died Friday, Nov. 21, in Iraq.

He was born Dec. 26, 1971, in Bonham. He served in the U.S. Army. His decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal; the Army Commendation Medal, 5; the Army Achievement Medal, 5; the Army Good Conduct Medal, 3; the National Defense Service Medal, 2; the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, 2; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, 3; the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, 3; the NATO Medal; the Combat Infantry Badge; the Expert Infantry Badge; the Parachutist Badge, Basic; the Air Assault Badge and he posthumously received the Bronze Star Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn “Mo” Monique Wilson of Killeen; his three children, Bryce Wilson, J’Nai Wilson and Lexus Wilson, all of Harker Heights; a sister, Simone Nickerson of Bonham and numerous other brothers and sisters; his father, Michael Anthony Cook of Denison; and his mother, Wanda Jean Neal and her husband, Vincent of Bonham;

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
