Burial will follow in Hurst Ranch Cemetery near Star.
Mrs. Patterson died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at a Lampasas nursing home.
She was born March 19, 1920, to William James Gent and Demis Elizabeth Wright Gent in Star. She married Doris Patterson on April 28, 1939, in Blanco. She had lived in Lampasas County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, Ronald D. Patterson of Lampasas; two daughters, Melinda Kay Arden of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Donna Porter of Lewisville; a sister, Ona Lee of Evant; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Cherokee Children’s Home or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
