Burial followed in Wilson Valley Cemetery near Academy.
Mrs. Vanderveer died Monday, Nov. 24, in Temple.
She was born June 30, 1915, to Ida Washington Daniel Maples and James William Maples in Bell County. She married Orville T. Vanderveer on Nov. 23, 1934. She was a life-long resident of Bell County. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years in 1987, and a son, Thomas R. Vanderveer in 2007.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Sirny of Temple; three granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
