COPPERAS COVE — Services for Sharon Paxton Lacny, 38, of Kempner will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove with the Rev. John R. Barrett officiating.

Burial will be in Smith Cemetery in Kempner.

Mrs. Lacny died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at her home.

She was born Aug. 17, 1970, in Baltimore to Alma Paxton Cottingham. She married John Lacny Jr. on July 30, 1993 in Honolulu. She worked for McLane Technologies in Temple, was an Episcopalian, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. During her military service, she worked as a Korean language voice interceptor. Her military awards include the Army Service Ribbon; Army Good Conduct Medal; Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon; Rifle M-16 Qualification Badge; and Army Lapel Button.

Survivors include her husband, 1st Sgt. John S. Lacny Jr. of Kempner; and her mother, Alma Paxton Cottingham of Kempner.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
