Services for William Dean, 80, of Temple will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Dean died Friday, Nov. 28, in a Temple hospital.

He was born on June 6, 1928, in Johnson City, Tenn., to Aurther and Agnes Dean. He was a 21-year Army veteran and later retired from the veterans hospital. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Corine Dean; five sons, William Dean II of Detroit; William Dean III of Beaumont, Joshua Stockton Dean of Huntsville, Markins Dean of Long Beach, Calif., Demetrius Dean of Pensacola, Fla.; seven daughters, Tartisha Dean of Temple, Linda Dean of Killeen, Vanessa Lampkins of Houston, Deshelia Dean of Cincinnati, Tyna Williams, Felicia Luie, Suzette Ragsdale, all of Detroit and a sister, Annie Ruth Gillispie.

Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Branford-Dawson Funeral Home followed by a wake at 6 to 7 p.m.
