Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Mrs. Barron was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Sayre, Okla., to Horace Able Vickers and Temperance O’Zona McRae. She married Jack N. Barron on June 1, 1949.
She volunteered for 20 years at the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary in Harker Heights. She served as past State Auxiliary Commander of Texas.
Survivors include her husband; six children, Tennie Stamper of Kempnwe, Jack Barron of Belton, Rick Barron of Belton and Copperas Cove, Christie Egbert of Salado, Randy Barron of Morgan’s Point and Jerry Barron of Copperas Cove; three brothers, Zed Vickers of Midland, Idaho, Hugh Vickers and Flen Vickers; three sisters, Betty Tucker of Harker Heights, Tennie Davis, and Sue Bilson of Globe, Ariz.; 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Disabled Veterans Scholarship Fund, Chapter 29, Harker Heights 76543.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today.
