Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Caldwell died Wednesday, Dec. 10, at a Temple hospital.
She was born May 4, 1956, to Frankie and Elenora Machovsky Muehlstein in Hillsboro. She graduated in 1974 from Abbott High School. She married Jerry Caldwell on Jan. 8, 1977, in Abbott. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1979.
She worked at Scott & White Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years, where she was a two-time recipient of the Shining Star Nurses award. She was an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider and a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, K.J.Z.T., she helped found the Mended Hearts Group, Chapter 12 and was also a member of the American Heart Association, Texas Association of Perianesthesia Nurses. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Caldwell in 1996.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years of Temple; two daughters, Jennifer Caldwell of Wylie and Jerilyn Oliver of Tomball; two brothers, Frankie Muelhstein of China Springs and Patrick Muelhstein of Longview, three sisters, Rita Pustejovsky of Combine, Mary Kay Marusak of Georgetown and Betty Ann Page of Waco; her mother of West; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor College of Nursing or to the Boy Scouts of America.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m.
