Burial will follow in Cedar Knob Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll died Thursday, Dec. 11, at a Temple hospital.
He was born Aug. 26, 1937, to William and Lillie Belle Vann Carroll in Gholson. He graduated from Salado High School in 1956 and attended a business college. He married Velda Buchanan on Dec. 24, 1957. He worked as a truck driver for more than 40 years, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years of Salado; a son, Kevin Carroll of Salado; two daughters, Vicki Hejl of Heidenheimer and Tammy Brooks of Temple; a brother, Earnest Carroll of Temple; two sisters, Opal Lawson of Copperas Cove and Mary Grimstead of Abilene; and three granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to the Salado Volunteer Fire Department or to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home.
