Mr. Kennedy died Saturday, Dec. 13, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 25, 1920, in Cameron to Rice Max Kennedy and Frankie Ethel (McKinsey) Kennedy. He was the owner of Kennedy Builders Supply, Paint & Hardware for 25 years and retired in 1996. He married Geneva Lou Dutton Aug. 28, 1949, in Whitesboro. He lived in Rockdale for the past 37 years. He also lived in Angleton, Freeport and Clube area. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, 456th Parachute Field Artillery.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Howard Kennedy of Sweeny.
