The body will be cremated.
Mr. Dewing died Tuesday, Dec. 16, at a local nursing home.
He was born on April 27, 1938, to Alton H. Dewing and Beulah Arlene Hill Dewing in New York City. He married Nancye LeBlanc on May 13, 1976. He worked as a contract executive and consultant. He moved to Lampasas three years ago from Louisiana.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years of Lampasas; two sons, Christopher Dewing and Ted Rodriguez; two daughters, Kelley Wedel and Kathryn Kelley; and 11 grandchildren.
Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas is in charge of arrangements.
