Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with minister Scott Meyer officiating.
Burial will be in Cookville.
Mrs. Blackwell was born April 8, 1924, to Virgie and Thomas Parham in Panther’s Chapel. The family moved to Chapel Hill and she attended Mt. Pleasant High School. She worked in the insurance industry, veterinary care and for social service organizations. She worked for Experience Works and Hill Country’s Meals on Wheels until about age 80. She was an active member of Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple.
Survivors include a son, Mike Blackwell of Temple; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
