Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.
Mrs. Scurlock died Thursday, Dec. 18, at her home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1915, to John Bertram and Nancy Mahulda Beal Longacre in Smith County. She married Willard T. Scurlock on July 9, 1938, in Tyler. She moved to Rockdale in 1947 from Tyler. She worked as a secretary for Rockdale Elementary for 18 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockdale and of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years in July 1960.
Survivors include two sons, Willard T. “Bill” Scurlock III of Rockwall and Daniel R. “Dan” Scurlock of Georgetown; a brother, Elmer E. Longacre of Garrison; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
