Mr. Kent died Saturday, Dec. 20, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1949, to Willard Raymond Kent and Ina Marie Riggs Kent in Logan, W.Va. He married Kathy Jackson on Aug. 8, 1974, in Overland, Mo. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a truck driver. He was a long-time member of the DAV.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years of Belton; a son, William Johnson of Round Rock; four daughters, Patricia Guthrie of Belton, Tyra Francis of Killeen, and Rhonda Gardner and Jodi Tipton, both of Ohio; a brother, Roger Kent of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Kyra McCauley of Galloway, Ohio, and Tammy Van Dyke of Indiana; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
