The body was cremated.
Mr. James was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Temple to Elbra James and Mary Henson James. After graduation from Temple High School he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was employed many years at Auto Zone.
Survivors include his mother; two sons, Travis James of South Hampton, Mass. and Brent James of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Girgosian Funeral Home in Watertown, Mass. was in charge of arrangements.
