He died Monday, Dec. 22, at his home.
His body was donated to Science Care.
Mr. Ogden was born April 22, 1927, in Sequoyah County, Okla., and grew up in Muskogee, Okla. He moved to Temple in April of 1988. He retired from the USPO in Las Vegas in 1987, and from The USAF in 1965. He was a member of Clan Donald, a lifetime member of Air Force Sergeant’s Association, a lifetime member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars Bell Post 1820, The Benevolent Patriotic Order of Elks, The American Legion Post 0133, and The Disabled American Veterans, all located in Temple. He was preceded in death by and a son Mickey Wayne Ogden; and two daughters, Deborah Sue Johnson and Patricia Lynn Ogden.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jackie Behne Ogden; a son, Michael R. Ogden, both of Temple; stepchildren, Michael B. McClain of Mesa, Ariz., Robin LaNell McClain of Las Vegas and Patrick H. McClain of Gilbert, Ariz.; brothers, Lenzy Ogden of Lancaster, Calif., Euell Ogden of Falls City, Ore., a sister, Connie Mazzuca of Las Vegas, 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
