Burial will be in Chilton Cemetery with Masonic rites and military honors.
Mr. Hicks died Wednesday, Dec. 24.
He was born May 20, 1918, to Hunter and Ola Adams Hicks in Chilton. He retired from the civil service in 1975 after more than 35 years as an electronics technician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Hicks in 2004.
Survivors include a son, Steve Hicks of Marlin; a daughter, Pam Pearcy of Belton; three brothers, Clayton Hicks of Franklin, Tenn., and Olan Hicks and Malvin Hicks, both of Waco; a sister, Helen Lipsey of Waco; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Marlin.
